Job description

We design Spotify’s consumer experience—end to end, moment to moment, across every screen, platform, and partner integration. Our mission is to make listening feel effortless, personal, and joyful for billions of users around the world. That means turning complexity into clarity across hundreds of touchpoints—from our mobile and desktop apps to the smart speakers, TVs, cars, and integrations where Spotify shows up every day. If it touches a consumer, we shape it. We bring deep insight into human behavior, design, and technology to craft experiences that feel intuitive, expressive, and unmistakably Spotify.

We're looking for a Principal Product Manager to help shape Spotify's TV and Desktop experiences. These surfaces give people different ways to enjoy Spotify, from music and video in the living room to the experience that accompanies them throughout their day on a computer.

As a senior individual contributor, you'll work across both areas, bringing a strong product perspective to the opportunities that matter most. You'll help teams make ambitious choices, navigate complexity, and deliver experiences that people love.

What You'll Do

  • Shape a compelling product vision and strategy for TV and Desktop, grounded in how people use each surface and the opportunities to improve their experience.
  • Identify where to invest, what to experiment with, and how to measure success, combining user research, data, and thoughtful product judgment.
  • Lead complex, cross-functional product initiatives from exploration through launch and iteration, aligning priorities and navigating dependencies along the way.
  • Partner closely with engineering, design, and insights to create intuitive, high-quality experiences that balance usability, performance, and reliability.
  • Connect product decisions across Spotify and with external partners where relevant, recognizing the different opportunities and constraints of each platform.
  • Communicate a clear and compelling product narrative that brings teams and senior stakeholders together around shared priorities.
  • Elevate product thinking across teams by encouraging curiosity, constructive debate, and a focus on meaningful outcomes.

Who You Are

  • You have a strong track record of shaping product strategy and delivering high-quality digital consumer experiences across multiple teams.
  • You know how to turn ambiguous opportunities into clear priorities, actionable decisions, and measurable value for users.
  • You combine a deep understanding of user needs with product intuition, data, experimentation, and an openness to changing your perspective.
  • You understand technical trade-offs and can collaborate effectively with engineering teams working on complex platforms.
  • You build alignment and influence decisions across disciplines, teams, and organizational boundaries without relying on formal authority.
  • You communicate complex ideas clearly and can bring diverse stakeholders together around a shared product direction.
  • You're comfortable moving between long-term strategy and hands-on execution, adapting your approach to different product challenges.
  • You value collaboration, thoughtful experimentation, and creating an environment where different perspectives help shape better products.

Where You'll Be

  • This role is based in Stockholm or London
  • We offer you the flexibility to work where you work best! There will be some in person meetings, but still allows for flexibility to work from home.

What applying to Spotify usually looks like

Based on publicly available information, candidates applying through lever can generally expect a process consistent with common Lever-based hiring systems. After submitting an application, candidates may receive an automated confirmation, though response times vary and are not guaranteed. The process may include multiple stages, such as an initial recruiter screen, follow-up conversations with hiring managers or team members, and possibly a skills-based or technical assessment depending on the role. Communication is typically handled through email, with status updates sometimes visible in a candidate portal. Applicants should be prepared to articulate their relevant experience clearly, as Lever-based workflows often emphasize structured evaluation criteria. While specific steps can vary by department or seniority level, candidates can commonly expect a professional, organized process with opportunities to ask questions about role expectations and team structure along the way.
