SEO Content Writer

Wanderlust App is a travel planning platform that plans trips using real city and cost data, runs them offline on the ground via Trip Mode, and lets travelers share and clone journeys through its /explore feed. We're looking for an SEO Content Writer to grow organic search visibility for our city guides, comparison pages, and travel content library covering 1,300+ cities and 190+ countries.

In this role, you'll create and optimize search-driven content that helps travelers discover destinations and pulls them into the Wanderlust product experience.

What you'll do

• Research and write SEO-optimized city guides, destination round-ups, and category pages (e.g. "Best Cities for Digital Nomads")
• Conduct keyword research and identify content gaps and opportunities across travel search queries
• Optimize existing content for on-page SEO: titles, meta descriptions, headers, internal linking, and readability
• Collaborate with product and design teams to align content with features like guides, Trip Mode, and the Travel Passport
• Track content performance using SEO and analytics tools, and iterate based on rankings and traffic data
• Maintain a consistent brand voice and editorial standard across a growing library of destination content

What we're looking for

• 2+ years of experience writing SEO-focused content, ideally in travel, lifestyle, or consumer tech
• Proven track record of using keyword research tools (e.g. Ahrefs, SEMrush, Google Search Console) to inform content strategy
• Strong writing and editing skills with an ability to adapt tone across formats — guides, comparisons, listicles
• Working knowledge of on-page SEO best practices and content management systems
• Comfortable using data to prioritize topics and measure content success
• Ability to manage multiple content pieces and deadlines independently

Nice to have

• Personal experience or passion for travel and trip planning
• Familiarity with technical SEO concepts (site structure, schema markup, page speed)
• Experience writing for a product with a large content library or programmatic SEO pages
