Wanderlust App is a travel planning platform that grounds itineraries in real city, cost, and safety data, then helps travelers live and share their trips through offline Trip Mode and a public /explore feed. We're looking for an SEO Specialist to grow organic visibility for our city guides, itineraries, and travel content, helping more travelers discover Wanderlust when researching their next trip.
What you'll do
- Own on-page and technical SEO across our city guides, itinerary pages, and blog content, spanning 1,300+ cities
- Conduct keyword research to identify high-intent travel search terms and prioritize content opportunities
- Partner with content and product teams to optimize new and existing guides for search performance
- Monitor site health, crawlability, and Core Web Vitals, and recommend technical fixes to engineering
- Track rankings, organic traffic, and conversion metrics, reporting on progress and opportunities regularly
- Build and execute link-building and content distribution strategies to grow domain authority
What we're looking for
- 2+ years of hands-on SEO experience, ideally on a content-heavy or travel/consumer site
- Strong working knowledge of tools like Google Search Console, Ahrefs, SEMrush, or similar
- Comfortable with technical SEO fundamentals: site structure, schema markup, page speed, crawl budgets
- Experience writing or optimizing SEO briefs and collaborating with writers or content teams
- Analytical mindset with the ability to translate data into clear recommendations
- Familiarity with local/city-level SEO strategies is a plus given our guide-driven content model
Nice to have
- Experience with programmatic SEO for large sets of location-based pages
- Background in travel, hospitality, or consumer apps
- Familiarity with international SEO across multiple countries and languages
