Job descriptionReq 7784608003

Xendit provides payment infrastructure across Southeast Asia and is expanding to Greater China and LATAM. We process payments, power marketplaces, disburse payroll and loans, provide KYC solutions, prevent fraud, and help businesses grow exponentially. We serve our customers by providing a suite of world-class APIs, eCommerce platform integrations, and easy to use applications for individual entrepreneurs, SMEs, and enterprises alike.

Our main focus is building the most advanced payment rails for Southeast Asia, with a clear goal in mind — to make payments across and within SEA simple, secure and easy for everyone. We serve thousands of businesses ranging from SMEs to multinational enterprises, and process millions of transactions monthly. We’ve been growing rapidly since our inception in 2015, onboarding hundreds of new customers every month, and backed by global top-10 VCs. We’re proud to be featured on among the fastest growing companies by Y-Combinator.

Job Overview

Xendit is looking for a driven Product Manager to lead our risk product suite. Leading a dedicated risk engineering and data science squad, you will own the roadmap and execution for merchant onboarding, transaction fraud prevention, and credit risk models. Your goal is to build scalable infrastructure that minimizes financial loss while providing a seamless experience for legitimate merchants and buyers across Southeast Asia.

Key Responsibilities

Roadmap Execution: Own, iterate, and deliver the data-driven product roadmap for risk infrastructure, prioritising across fraud, onboarding, and credit pillars based on business impact while continuously monitoring key metrics like chargeback rates, fraud false-positives, and onboarding cycle time.

  1. Fraud Prevention: Real-time risk engines and machine learning models for payments and portfolio monitoring.
  2. Dispute Management: Chargeback and dispute resolution workflows across all payment channels, ensuring clear, auditable outcomes for merchants and Xendit.
  3. Credit Risk Management: Lending and settlement risk models to assess and mitigate financial exposure related to merchant payout cycles and transactional settlements.

Requirements & Qualifications

Experience: 5+ years of Product Management experience, specifically within Fintech, Payments (specially cards acquiring), or Risk domains, including a track record of driving roadmap and execution for cross-functional squads (engineers, data, commercial) through influence rather than formal authority.

Data & Communication: Strong analytical skills to independently query data, translate complex metrics into product decisions, and clearly communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.

Domain Knowledge

Credible, hands-on expertise in at least two of the following:

  1. Payments fraud prevention and continuous transaction/portfolio monitoring.
  2. Dispute Management and chargeback resolution across payment channels.
  3. Credit risk assessment, lending models, and merchant settlement risk, including familiarity with related regulatory considerations.

What applying to Xendit usually looks like

Based on publicly available information, candidates applying through greenhouse can generally expect a structured process typical of this applicant tracking system, often starting with an online application and resume screen, followed by a recruiter conversation to discuss background and role fit. Applicants may then proceed through multiple stages, which can include hiring manager interviews, functional or technical assessments relevant to roles such as data engineer, product manager, or customer success manager, and panel discussions with cross-functional stakeholders. Xendit's postings suggest openings across technical, operational, and compliance-focused roles, so evaluation criteria likely vary by function. Communication is commonly managed through automated greenhouse notifications, and response times vary depending on team bandwidth and role seniority. Candidates should typically prepare examples demonstrating relevant skills, adaptability, and alignment with company values, as these are commonly assessed throughout greenhouse-based hiring processes.
