About Broccoli 🥦

At Broccoli, we're building AI teammates for the people who build and maintain our world.

We partner with plumbing, HVAC, and electrical contractors, the hardworking businesses that keep homes and communities running, and replace fragmented software and repetitive manual work with AI that actually gets the job done.

Our AI teammates answer phones, book appointments, follow up with customers, recover missed revenue, and help contractors deliver exceptional customer experiences, all while integrating seamlessly with platforms like ServiceTitan.

Before we wrote a single line of code, we visited more than 140 contractors to understand how these businesses truly operate. That firsthand experience shaped everything we've built.

Today:

  • Hundreds of contractors rely on Broccoli every day.

  • We've grown to $20M+ ARR in under two years.

  • We're trusted by everyone from independent contractors to some of the largest private equity backed operators in the home services industry.

  • We're backed by Khosla Ventures and Y Combinator.

We're still just getting started.

About the role

We're hiring a Business Recruiter to own non-technical hiring across Broccoli, with a focus on Strategy & Operations and Marketing. You'll be a true thought partner to the leaders you support, helping shape how their teams grow rather than just filling reqs.

This is a full-cycle, high-ownership role based in our San Francisco office. Many of these functions are early, so you'll often be defining the first version of the role, the interview loop, and the bar.

What you'll do

  • Own full-cycle recruiting for non-technical roles across the company, with a focus on Strategy & Operations and Marketing

  • Act as a thought partner to hiring leaders, bringing perspective and a point of view to every search

  • Design and run interview loops that actually assess the work

  • Proactively source and engage top talent, including people who aren't actively looking

  • Run a high-touch candidate experience from first outreach through offer and close

  • Juggle multiple hiring managers and priorities, and keep everyone aligned on timelines and pipeline health

  • Bring market and talent insights to hiring conversations, and use data to keep searches moving

  • Set and maintain recruiting best practices, and help build out our processes, tools, and employer brand

What we're looking for

  • 3 to 6 years of full-cycle recruiting experience, ideally in-house at a high-growth startup

  • Proven track record of non-technical hiring, ideally including Strategy & Ops and Marketing roles

  • Comfort recruiting across a wide range of functions and levels

  • Skilled sourcer, comfortable building pipeline from scratch

  • Business partner mindset and genuine curiosity about how teams work

  • Ability to build trust with senior leaders and push back when it matters

  • Strong organization and composure while running reqs for several hiring managers at once

  • Clear, direct communication with candidates and hiring teams alike

Nice to have

  • Background at an AI or vertical SaaS company

  • Experience building interview loops or hiring processes from the ground up

  • Prior success hiring senior or leadership roles in Marketing or Operations

  • Familiarity with Ashby or a similar ATS

What applying to Broccoli AI usually looks like

Based on publicly available information, candidates applying through ashby for roles at Broccoli AI can generally expect a structured application process that typically begins with an online application and resume submission, often followed by an automated acknowledgment. Ashby-based processes commonly include an initial screening conversation, which may be conducted by a recruiter or hiring team member, followed by additional stages that can involve skills assessments, take-home exercises, or technical evaluations depending on the role. Candidates may also encounter multiple stages of interviews with various team members or stakeholders. Communication is often handled through the platform itself, including status updates and scheduling. Response times vary depending on the role and hiring volume, so candidates should remain patient and may consider following up politely if they have not heard back within a reasonable period.
