Cadence ABA builds AI-native clinical software for ABA practices, letting clinicians run sessions by voice while the system structures trial data, tracks mastery, and drafts billable session notes. We're looking for a QA Engineer to help us ensure the accuracy and reliability of a product that clinicians use to make real-time clinical decisions and produce records tied to billing and compliance.
What you'll do
- Design, write, and maintain automated test suites (unit, integration, end-to-end) for web and backend services
- Test voice capture, data structuring, and note-generation workflows for correctness and edge-case handling
- Build and maintain test plans for new features, including regression coverage before releases
- Investigate, reproduce, and document bugs, working closely with engineers to verify fixes
- Validate data integrity and accuracy across clinical workflows, including audit trails and role-based access
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, ensuring automated tests run reliably as part of the release process
What we're looking for
- Experience in software QA or SDET roles, with hands-on work in both manual and automated testing
- Proficiency writing automated tests using common frameworks (e.g., Selenium, Playwright, Cypress, or similar)
- Comfort reading and understanding code (JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or similar) to debug issues
- Solid understanding of API testing, test case design, and bug triage practices
- Experience testing applications that handle sensitive or regulated data, or a demonstrated ability to learn compliance-driven QA practices
- Strong attention to detail and clear written communication for documenting defects and test coverage
Nice to have
- Experience in healthcare, HIPAA-regulated, or other compliance-sensitive software environments
- Familiarity with testing voice/audio-based features or AI-driven data pipelines
- Experience with performance or load testing tools
