Job description
Casework runs four-week, fixed-price AI Act conformity engagements that help mid-market companies document compliance for the hiring AI tools they use. As the company's product surface (its site, client-facing tools, and internal work products) grows, Casework is looking for a Frontend Engineer to help build and maintain the interfaces that support this work.
What you'll do
- Build and maintain user-facing features using modern frontend frameworks (e.g., React or similar)
- Translate design mockups and product requirements into responsive, accessible, production-quality UI
- Collaborate with product and backend engineers to define APIs and data flows that support the frontend
- Write clean, tested, maintainable code and participate in code review
- Diagnose and fix performance, cross-browser, and usability issues
- Contribute to the evolution of the frontend architecture and component library as the product grows
What we're looking for
- Solid experience building production web applications with JavaScript/TypeScript and a modern framework (React, Vue, or similar)
- Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, and browser fundamentals
- Experience integrating with REST or GraphQL APIs
- Comfort working in a small team where you own features end-to-end
- Attention to detail on UI polish, accessibility, and performance
- Clear written and verbal communication
Nice to have
- Experience working at an early-stage or small company
- Familiarity with design systems and component libraries
- Interest in or exposure to regulatory, compliance, or B2B professional-services products
