Casework produces conformity files, Fundamental Rights Impact Assessments, and Article 9 risk documentation for AI hiring tools, aligned to the EU AI Act, Colorado AI Act, Illinois HB 3773, and NYC LL 144. The firm runs a productized engagement model: fixed scope, fixed price, four-week production cycles, and an AI-native workflow that augments discovery synthesis, regulation mapping, draft assembly, and citation verification. We're hiring a Full Stack Engineer to help build and scale the internal tooling and client-facing systems that make this production model work.
What you'll do
- Design, build, and maintain full stack features across our internal production tooling and any client-facing applications
- Work across the stack, from database schema and API design to frontend interfaces, to support document generation, workflow tracking, and review processes
- Collaborate with the founder and delivery team to translate methodology steps (intake, discovery, drafting, review, handoff) into reliable, well-tested software
- Integrate AI-assisted tooling into production workflows, including discovery synthesis, draft assembly, and citation verification systems
- Own the reliability, performance, and security of the systems you build, including deployment and monitoring
- Participate in technical planning and contribute to decisions about architecture and tooling as the engineering function grows
What we're looking for
- Professional experience building and shipping full stack web applications, including both backend and frontend work
- Strong command of a modern backend language/framework and a modern frontend framework
- Comfort designing and working with relational databases and APIs
- Experience working with or integrating third-party APIs, including AI/LLM tooling
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of features end-to-end in a small, fast-moving team
- Clear written and verbal communication, especially when working asynchronously
Nice to have
- Experience building document-generation, workflow, or compliance-adjacent tooling
- Familiarity with startups or small teams operating with a productized, fixed-scope service model
- Interest in AI governance, regulatory technology, or HR tech
