- Contractual Strategy: Draft, review, and negotiate complex commercial agreements and advise stakeholders on contract-related matters.
- Advanced Legal Research & Advisory: Provide legal assessments requested by regional office or local stakeholders from time to time.
- Corporate Secretarial Management: Preparation of board resolutions, annual declarations to the Ministry of Commerce, and ensure compliance with the Law on Commercial Enterprises.
- Legal Operations & Process Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements for the local legal function.
- Master's or Bachelor’s degree in Law or another related field.
- Minimum 3- years of experience in legal and compliance roles
- Strong understanding of Burmese legal and regulatory frameworks
- Review and provide assistance in the preparation and execution of all legal agreements and contracts requested by various divisions within the organization.
- Build and maintain a robust legal framework by standardizing agreement types and Service Level Agreements for each agreement category.
- Excellent skills in drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of commercial and legal agreements under Burmese law.
- Strong analytical skills to assess legal and compliance risks and develop effective solutions within the Burmese context.
- Fluency in both written and spoken in English
