Delivery Lead

DoubleTap Consulting is a software consultancy that builds custom websites, product platforms and internal software for streaming, SaaS and commerce teams, working directly with clients through a senior-only team with no account layer or junior bench. We're hiring a Delivery Lead / Engagement Manager to own the successful delivery of client engagements from scoping call through launch and handover, acting as the connective tissue between the client and the senior engineers and designers doing the work.

What you'll do

• Own delivery of one or more concurrent client engagements, from initial scope through launch and handover, keeping timeline, budget and quality on track
• Act as the primary point of accountability for clients, translating business goals into clear scope and sequencing for the engineering and design team
• Run scoping calls and help shape statements of work, estimates and engagement plans alongside senior technical staff
• Identify risks to timeline or scope early and resolve them directly with the team and the client, rather than escalating past the people doing the work
• Track engagement health — budget burn, milestone delivery, client satisfaction — and report on it clearly and honestly
• Coordinate handover at the end of an engagement so the client's own team can run what was built without depending on the firm that built it

What we're looking for

• 5+ years in a delivery lead, engagement manager, technical program manager or similar client-facing delivery role at a software consultancy or agency
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent engagements with distinct clients, timelines and stakeholders
• Comfortable being the direct point of accountability for scope, budget and timeline conversations with clients, including difficult ones
• Working knowledge of modern web and software delivery (frontend, backend, infrastructure) sufficient to sequence work and sanity-check estimates with engineers, even without writing code yourself
• Strong written and verbal communication, including experience running scoping or discovery calls and writing clear statements of work
• Track record of shipping projects that involve design, engineering and sometimes migration or infrastructure work, not just one discipline

Nice to have

• Experience delivering engagements for streaming, SaaS, or commerce clients specifically
• Background in agencies or consultancies that run lean, senior-only delivery teams without an account-management layer
• Familiarity with Next.js, React, React Native or Node/Postgres stacks well enough to understand technical tradeoffs in scoping conversations
