Technical Project Manager

DoubleTap Consulting is a software consultancy that builds custom websites, product platforms and internal software for streaming, SaaS and commerce teams, working directly with the senior engineers and designers who scope and build each engagement. We're hiring a Technical Project Manager to run the delivery side of client engagements — keeping scope, timeline and communication tight across projects that typically run six weeks to twelve months.

What you'll do

• Own project planning and delivery for one or more concurrent client engagements, from kickoff through launch and handoff
• Translate scoping-call outcomes into clear timelines, milestones and sequencing that engineers and designers can execute against
• Act as the primary point of contact for clients on schedule, scope and status, flagging risks and trade-offs before they become problems
• Coordinate across engineering, design and infrastructure workstreams to keep dependencies visible and unblocked
• Manage scope changes and change requests, documenting decisions and updating timelines and budgets accordingly
• Run regular check-ins, demos and retrospectives to keep clients and internal teams aligned

What we're looking for

• 3+ years managing technical or software delivery projects, ideally in an agency or consultancy setting
• Comfortable reading technical scope well enough to sequence work and push back on unrealistic timelines
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for direct client-facing work
• Experience with project tracking tools (e.g. Jira, Linear, Asana) and building out project plans from a scoping conversation
• Track record of managing multiple concurrent projects without losing detail on any one of them
• Comfortable working with senior, autonomous engineers and designers rather than managing a large junior team

Nice to have

• Experience on web platform, product design, application/API, or cloud infrastructure engagements
• Familiarity with Next.js, React, React Native or Node/Postgres-based projects, even if you don't write the code yourself
• Experience managing client relationships in streaming, SaaS or commerce sectors
