Data Analyst

Elite Hockey HQ is looking for a Data Analyst to help turn athlete training, readiness, and engagement data into insights that shape our product and coaching platform. You'll work closely with product, engineering, and coaching teams to understand how athletes use our adaptive training engine, skill video library, and readiness tools, and to surface findings that guide decisions across the company.

What you'll do

• Analyze athlete usage, engagement, and readiness data to identify trends and opportunities across the platform
• Build and maintain dashboards and reports that track key product and business metrics
• Partner with product and engineering teams to define, track, and improve metrics related to training adherence and app engagement
• Support experimentation and A/B testing efforts, including analysis design and results interpretation
• Translate complex data findings into clear, actionable recommendations for non-technical stakeholders
• Help maintain data quality, documentation, and consistency across internal reporting tools

What we're looking for

• 2+ years of experience in a data analyst or similar analytics role
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with large datasets
• Proficiency with a BI or visualization tool (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Power BI)
• Experience with spreadsheet-based analysis and clear data storytelling
• Comfort working cross-functionally with product, engineering, and business teams
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple analysis requests at once

Nice to have

• Experience with Python or R for data analysis
• Familiarity with subscription or consumer app metrics (retention, churn, engagement)
• Interest in sports, fitness, or athlete performance data
