Product Designer

Elite Hockey HQ is looking for a Product Designer (UI/UX) to help shape the experience of its training platform, which brings together adaptive workout programming, skill video libraries, recovery readiness tracking, and AI-driven coaching guidance into a single athlete-facing product. You'll work closely with product and engineering to design flows and interfaces that make complex training data feel simple, motivating, and easy to act on for athletes and teams.

What you'll do

• Design end-to-end user flows and high-fidelity UI for web and mobile features, from early concept through shipped product
• Translate athlete and coach needs into wireframes, prototypes, and polished interface designs
• Collaborate with product managers and engineers to scope, refine, and ship features on a regular release cadence
• Maintain and evolve a shared design system to keep the product visually and functionally consistent
• Run and synthesize user research, usability tests, and feedback sessions to validate design decisions
• Present design rationale and iterate based on stakeholder and user feedback

What we're looking for

• Portfolio demonstrating strong UI/UX craft across mobile and/or web products
• Proficiency with modern design tools such as Figma (or equivalent)
• Solid understanding of interaction design, visual design, and usability principles
• Experience working directly with engineers to implement designs accurately
• Comfort working in a fast-moving product environment with shifting priorities
• Clear communication skills for presenting and defending design decisions

Nice to have

• Experience designing for fitness, sports, or health/wellness data-driven products
• Familiarity with designing for wearable or biometric data integrations
• Experience contributing to or building a design system from scratch
