Elite Hockey HQ is looking for a QA Engineer to help ensure the quality and reliability of the training platform used by hockey athletes and teams to plan and track their workouts, skill development, and recovery. In this role, you'll work closely with engineering and product teams to build and maintain testing processes that catch issues before they reach athletes, coaches, and teams relying on the app every day.
What you'll do
- Design, write, and execute manual and automated test cases for web and mobile application features
- Identify, document, and track bugs through to resolution, working closely with developers
- Build and maintain automated test suites to support continuous integration and delivery
- Perform regression, functional, and exploratory testing across releases
- Collaborate with product and engineering teams to understand requirements and define acceptance criteria
- Monitor production for quality issues and help triage and prioritize fixes
What we're looking for
- Experience in software quality assurance or test engineering, manual or automated
- Familiarity with test automation frameworks and tools (e.g., Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or similar)
- Understanding of QA methodologies, test planning, and bug tracking workflows
- Strong attention to detail and ability to communicate issues clearly in writing
- Comfort working in an agile development environment with frequent releases
- Basic understanding of APIs and how to test them
Nice to have
- Experience testing consumer-facing web or mobile applications
- Familiarity with performance or load testing
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and tools like GitHub Actions or Jenkins
- Interest in sports, fitness, or athletic performance technology
