About Elite Hockey
Elite Hockey HQ is a hockey training platform for players, parents, and coaches. Athletes follow structured off-ice training programs, work through pro skill video, track their daily readiness, and sharpen their game sense with Hockey IQ, on the web and in our iOS app. We're looking for a Social Media Intern to help put that work in front of hockey players on the platforms they already use, and to learn how a sports brand's social channels are run day to day.
What you'll do
- Draft posts, captions, and carousels that show off training programs, skill drills, and athlete tips
- Cut short-form clips from our skill video library and app footage, sized for Instagram, TikTok, X, and Facebook
- Keep the content calendar on schedule around the hockey season, from first draft through to scheduling
- Reply to comments and messages, and flag questions and feedback for the team
- Pull weekly numbers on reach, engagement, and clicks back to the site, and note what worked
- Spot trends, formats, and creators in the hockey world worth trying or working with
What we're looking for
- A current student or recent graduate in marketing, communications, media, or a related field, or equivalent experience running social accounts
- A feel for what performs on each platform, and an eye for a hook that lands in the first second of a clip
- Comfort with short-form video editing tools such as CapCut or Premiere, and design tools such as Canva
- Clear, energetic writing that sounds like a coach, not an ad
- Reliability with deadlines while working remotely and asynchronously
Nice to have
- You play, coach, or follow hockey at any level
- A portfolio, personal account, or club page you've grown
How we work
This is a fully remote internship. You'll work directly with the founder, see your posts go live, and get feedback on every one of them. Every application is read by a person.
