About Finix

Finix is building the global operating system for fintech, starting with payments. From startups to publicly traded companies, Finix processes tens of billions of dollars annually both in-store and online. Finix was founded in 2015 and is headquartered in San Francisco.

To date Finix has raised over $200M, including a $75M Series C led by Acrew Capital and Lightspeed Venture Partners and backed by American Express Ventures, Bain Capital Ventures, Homebrew, Inspired Capital, Visa, and others

About the Role:
As the People Operations Partner, you’ll have a meaningful impact by supporting our Finixians to succeed in their roles by being the first point of contact for questions and coordinating critical people programs.

This role will report directly to the VP of People and Talent. You’ll collaborate closely with our Finance, Business Technology, Compliance, and Operations teams to support ongoing projects and deliver strategic people support.

This hybrid role entails working in the office 4 days per week in our San Francisco HQ.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Own the employee lifecycle including Pre-boarding, On-boarding, and Off-boarding
  • Be the go-to person to support our Finixians with any benefit, working norms, and policy questions.
  • Create memorable moments for our Finixians, both in person and virtually, to drive Finixian engagement and team building.
  • Own our HRIS (Paylocity) and People Team Tech Stack ( Workramp) to ensure accurate data around people changes and updates.
  • Analyze and report monthly and quarterly People metrics and demographics to measure impact, identify trends, and provide valuable insights to the leadership team.
  • Assist with the planning of Calibration reviews and Compensation cycles.
  • Manage the People Team Confluence page
  • Respond to audit, unemployment, and employment verification requests.
  • Develop AI tooling to support our Finixians to be more impactful and efficient

About You:

  • Someone who has done most of this. 2+ years of People Ops experience, preferably in a high-growth organization.
  • Knowledgeable of the law. Well-versed in local, state, and federal employment laws and regulations.
  • A fan of technology. You understand the need for tech to support scale and a human to guide the way. And excited about AI.
  • One who sweats the small stuff. You know details matter and love tying up loose ends.
  • Passionate about your craft. You take pride in your work and are eager to evolve. You may often find yourself geeking out on the latest tech solutions, reading People blogs, listening to podcasts, and dreaming about how to create an environment where high performers thrive.
  • Excited about numbers and spreadsheets. You can whip up a pivot table, chart, or graph with ease to tell a story or share insights.
  • A hustler who can get stuff done while faced with competing priorities.
  • Discreet and can handle confidential information with grace and ease

What applying to Finix usually looks like

Based on publicly available information, candidates applying through lever for roles at Finix can generally expect a structured application process typical of companies using this ATS. After submitting an application, candidates may receive an initial acknowledgment, though response times vary and are not guaranteed. The process may include multiple stages, such as a recruiter screen, hiring manager conversation, and role-specific interviews that could assess technical skills, cultural fit, or domain expertise depending on the position. Some roles, particularly technical or design-oriented ones, may involve a practical exercise or case study. Communication throughout is typically handled via email or the Lever platform itself, which candidates can use to track status updates. As with most Lever-based hiring processes, expectations, timelines, and interview formats can vary by role and department, so candidates should remain flexible and prepared for some variation in structure.”
