Habeo is the IT asset management and CMDB platform built specifically for higher education, replacing ServiceNow ITAM at colleges, R1 research universities, and multi-campus systems. Habeo provides an institutional system of record for hardware, software, and lab instruments, with native MDM discovery (Jamf, Intune, Google Admin), Workday/Banner/PeopleSoft-driven lifecycle management, and higher-ed-specific compliance built in (GASB 34/35, Uniform Guidance §200.313, HECVAT). We're hiring a Product Manager to help shape and grow this platform as we work with universities to move them off legacy ITAM tools.
What you'll do
- Own the roadmap and execution for one or more core product areas, from discovery through shipping and iteration
- Work closely with engineering, design, and founders to translate customer and market needs into clear product requirements
- Partner with university IT asset managers, CISOs, and grant administrators (via customer calls and demos) to deeply understand higher-ed workflows and pain points
- Define and track success metrics for shipped features, and use data to prioritize the backlog
- Write clear specs, acceptance criteria, and rollout plans for engineering
- Collaborate on go-to-market efforts with sales and customer-facing teams, including pricing, packaging, and positioning input
What we're looking for
- 3+ years of experience as a Product Manager shipping B2B or enterprise SaaS products
- Demonstrated ability to translate ambiguous customer problems into prioritized, well-scoped product requirements
- Comfort working directly with engineers in a fast-moving, founder-led environment
- Strong written communication skills — specs, roadmaps, and stakeholder updates
- Experience using data and qualitative customer feedback together to make prioritization calls
- Ability to run and synthesize customer discovery calls or demos
Nice to have
- Experience with compliance-heavy or regulated domains (education, government, healthcare, or finance)
- Familiarity with IT asset management, CMDB, ITSM, or adjacent enterprise IT tooling
- Experience working with integrations to HRIS, MDM, or identity systems
- Background working with or selling into higher education or public sector institutions
