HireAIScore is an independent directory that scores AI hiring vendors against a published rubric tied to the EU AI Act, NYC Local Law 144, the Colorado AI Act, and Illinois HB 3773. We're hiring a Content Writer to help translate rigorous, regulation-anchored research into clear, accurate writing for HR leaders, compliance teams, and job seekers navigating AI hiring tools.
In this role, you'll work closely with the editorial team to produce written content that explains scoring methodology, regulatory context, and vendor comparisons in plain language, without sacrificing precision.
What you'll do
- Write and edit articles, explainers, and guides on AI hiring vendors, regulations, and scoring methodology
- Translate technical and legal concepts (e.g. bias audits, technical documentation requirements, human oversight design) into clear, accessible language
- Collaborate with editorial and research staff to ensure factual accuracy and proper sourcing for every claim
- Maintain consistency of tone, terminology, and style across the site's published writing
- Update existing content as rubrics, regulations, or vendor scores change
- Support the production of vendor profile summaries, category overviews, and change-log write-ups
What we're looking for
- Proven experience writing clear, well-organized content for a professional or technical audience
- Strong research skills and comfort working from primary sources (regulatory text, public filings, technical documentation)
- Excellent command of grammar, structure, and plain-language writing
- Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and manage multiple pieces in progress
- Comfort with fact-checking and a low tolerance for unverified claims
- A portfolio or writing samples demonstrating range and accuracy
Nice to have
- Familiarity with HR technology, AI governance, or employment law
- Experience writing about regulatory or compliance topics
- Background in journalism, policy writing, or technical writing
