HireAIScore is an independent directory that scores AI hiring vendors against a published rubric tied to the EU AI Act, NYC Local Law 144, the Colorado AI Act, and Illinois HB 3773. We're hiring an Editor to help shape the analysis, rankings commentary, and explainer content that sits alongside our scores, ensuring everything we publish is accurate, clearly written, and defensible under scrutiny.
What you'll do
- Edit and refine written content covering vendor scores, rubric methodology, and regulatory analysis for clarity, accuracy, and consistency of voice
- Review draft explainers and analysis pieces (e.g. on the EU AI Act, NYC LL 144, and related case law) for factual precision and structural clarity
- Work with writers and researchers to ensure claims about vendors and regulations are properly sourced and defensible
- Maintain style and editorial standards across the site, including rankings pages, vendor profiles, and methodology write-ups
- Fact-check and cross-reference published material against the rubric, vendor questionnaires, and public evidence
- Manage editorial workflows and publishing schedules to keep new vendor profiles and analysis pieces on track
What we're looking for
- Proven editing experience, ideally in policy, regulatory, legal, or trade/technical publishing
- Excellent command of plain-language writing and the ability to simplify technical or legal material without distorting it
- Strong attention to detail and comfort fact-checking against primary source documents
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple pieces in progress, and hit publishing deadlines
- Clear, precise writing and editing style suited to an evidence-driven, no-fluff publication
Nice to have
- Familiarity with AI governance, employment law, or HR technology
- Experience editing content that must meet a stated editorial-independence or disclosure standard
- Background editing data-heavy or rubric-based comparison content
