Job descriptionFull Time
HireAIScore operates an independent directory that rates AI hiring vendors against a published rubric tied to the EU AI Act, Colorado AI Act, NYC Local Law 144, and Illinois HB 3773. We're hiring a Full Stack Engineer to help build and scale the platform that powers our vendor scoring, rankings, and public-facing tools.
What you'll do
- Design, build, and maintain features across the full stack, from database schema to backend services to the user-facing directory and tools
- Work on the systems that power vendor rankings, scoring displays, filtering, and comparison tools used by the public
- Build and maintain the free assessment tools (such as the high-risk AI quick-check) and the vendor profile request workflow
- Collaborate with the editorial team to ensure scoring data, methodology pages, and rubric versioning are represented accurately and reliably in the product
- Write clean, tested, maintainable code and participate in code review
- Identify and fix performance, reliability, and data-integrity issues across the stack
What we're looking for
- Professional experience building and shipping full stack web applications
- Solid command of a modern JavaScript/TypeScript framework on the frontend and a corresponding backend/API stack
- Comfort working with relational databases and designing schemas for structured, versioned data
- Experience shipping features end-to-end, from technical design through deployment
- Strong communication skills and comfort working closely with non-engineering stakeholders (editorial, research)
- Ability to work independently and take ownership of features from concept to production
Nice to have
- Experience building data-heavy directories, marketplaces, or ranking/comparison products
- Familiarity with content or CMS-driven sites that publish versioned, auditable data
- Interest in AI governance, regulatory compliance, or HR tech
