Migaru AI builds an AI-native CRM that reads a sales team's email, calendar, and calls, and keeps account, contact, and deal records current automatically. We're hiring a Data Engineer to help build and scale the data infrastructure that powers this product: the pipelines that ingest conversational data, the systems that keep records accurate and current, and the data foundation behind the product's reporting and forecasting features.
What you'll do
- Design, build, and maintain data pipelines that ingest and process data from sources like email, calendar, call transcripts, and third-party integrations
- Build and own the data infrastructure that keeps customer-facing records (accounts, contacts, deals) accurate, current, and performant at scale
- Develop and maintain data models and schemas that support product features like dashboards, forecasting, and account scoring
- Partner with product and engineering teams to expose clean, reliable data to downstream services and agents
- Monitor data quality, build validation and alerting to catch pipeline failures or data drift early
- Optimize data storage, processing, and query performance as data volume grows
What we're looking for
- Professional experience building and operating production data pipelines (batch and/or streaming)
- Strong SQL skills and experience with data modeling for analytical and operational use cases
- Proficiency in a language commonly used for data engineering, such as Python, Java, or Scala
- Experience with workflow orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow, Dagster, or similar)
- Familiarity with cloud data warehouses or lakehouse platforms (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, or similar)
- Comfort working with messy, unstructured, or semi-structured data such as text from emails and call transcripts
Nice to have
- Experience working with natural language or unstructured text data in a production pipeline
- Experience supporting machine learning or AI-driven features with data infrastructure
- Background working at an early-stage startup where you own infrastructure end to end
