We help the world run better
At SAP, we keep it simple: you bring your best to us, and we'll bring out the best in you. We're builders touching over 20 industries and 80% of global commerce, and we need your unique talents to help shape what's next. The work is challenging – but it matters. You'll find a place where you can be yourself, prioritize your wellbeing, and truly belong. What's in it for you? Constant learning, skill growth, great benefits, and a team that wants you to grow and succeed.

What you’ll do

In this role, you will take on end-to-end technical responsibility for SAP Market Communication for Utilities and the associated regulatory S/4 add-ons. You will combine regulatory requirements, product strategy and modern AI-supported product management practices to ensure reliable delivery capability and measurable customer benefits.

You will be responsible for product strategy, managing discovery and validation processes, and developing roadmaps that align development, field organizations, and partners around shared priorities. You will analyze product performance, prepare strategic decisions, and lead complex product initiatives from validation through successful launch.

Together with the responsible development manager, you will ensure that regulatory updates are transparently planned, prioritized and implemented in a customer-oriented manner. As the central contact person for internal and external stakeholders up to the C-level, you will provide orientation and bear responsibility for the sustainable success of your product area.

In addition, you will lead the product management team in a disciplinary manner, develop your team members further and strengthen modern, results-oriented product management practices through coaching and constructive feedback.

What you bring

You have in-depth experience in product management for complex B2B software, from market and competitor analysis to product strategy, roadmap definition, and product launches, through to success measurement and continuous development after go-live.

You are able to weigh customer needs, business goals, and technical feasibility against one another in a transparent manner. In doing so, you bring structure to ambiguity, set clear priorities, and guide teams toward reliable product decisions.

You have experience in the disciplinary management and development of employees. Through coaching, mentoring and constructive feedback, you will strengthen modern, results-oriented product management practices in the team.

You bring several years of experience with requirements in the field of market communication, related regulatory frameworks, or comparable regulated B2B environments. Additionally, you understand how SAP Business AI, agentic AI, and AI-powered tools can be pragmatically applied in product management.

For this role, you bring the following experience and competencies:

  • Several years of experience in working with customers in the utilities industry

  • Proven experience in disciplinary leadership and employee development

  • Hands-on experience with SAP Business AI, agentic AI, or AI-powered product management practices

  • Excellent knowledge of German and English

Where you belong

You will be part of the Industry AI unit for Energy and Natural Resources, a team focused on turning Industry AI opportunities in the ENR space into measurable customer value.

In this role, you'll help raise product management standards beyond your immediate responsibility by leading teams of industry insights to clear decisions and AI-powered execution.

Close cooperation with product development is crucial here; your impact comes from sound strategic judgment, industry understanding, trusting relationships and the ability to translate regulatory requirements into practical product results. If you want to achieve broad product influence and are ready to take Industry AI for ENR from strategy to AI-supported implementation, this role is a great fit for you.

The core competencies of this role include requirements and market research, product lifecycle management, product roadmap development, data-based decision-making, stakeholder and customer management, and the practical use of modern AI technologies. In addition, you have experience in establishing AI-supported ways of working in product management and promoting their adoption in organizations

Other skills used in this role: Adaptive Leadership, Collaboration, Complex Problem Solving, Creative Thinking, Customer Focus, Effective Communication, Learning Agility, Team Performance Management, Agentic AI Day-to-Day Practice, AI Adoption Capability, AI Output Quality Assurance, Context Engineering, AI-Assisted Automation and Prototyping
