Product Manager – AI
Software Finder is seeking an experienced and impact-driven Product Manager – AI to manage its portfolio of production AI products, including conversational AI agents, workflow automation solutions, and internal AI platforms. This role will oversee the complete product lifecycle, from discovery and requirements definition to delivery, release approval, adoption, and business impact measurement.
The ideal candidate will work closely with business stakeholders and AI Engineering teams to translate organizational needs into practical AI solutions. Beyond defining product features, this role will establish agent behavior, guardrails, evaluation criteria, and human-in-the-loop workflows while ensuring AI products deliver meaningful adoption and measurable business results.
Key Responsibilities
Own and manage the product roadmap for conversational AI agents, workflow automation solutions, and internal AI platforms.
Conduct product discovery with internal departments and customer-facing teams to identify high-impact AI opportunities.
Translate complex business challenges into clear, practical, and measurable AI product requirements.
Develop detailed product specifications defining agent behavior, expected outcomes, guardrails, escalation paths, and human-in-the-loop workflows.
Establish evaluation criteria, acceptance standards, and quality benchmarks for AI products.
Define, track, and report key product metrics, including output quality, accuracy, automation coverage, adoption, usage, cost per interaction, conversion improvement, and cost savings.
Prioritize product backlogs across competing business needs and departmental requirements.
Coordinate release planning, delivery timelines, and implementation activities with AI Engineering teams.
Manage AI evaluation and quality assurance by defining test cases, reviewing outputs, and approving product releases.
Drive product adoption through stakeholder engagement, training, change management, and ongoing user support.
Gather and analyze user feedback to identify product issues, improvement opportunities, and future roadmap priorities.
Present product and portfolio performance to leadership, including usage, quality, cost, adoption, and business impact.
Monitor developments in AI models, tools, frameworks, and market capabilities to inform product strategy.
Ensure AI products incorporate appropriate privacy, security, governance, and responsible AI considerations.
Support additional AI product management and technology initiatives as required.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business, Product Management, Data Science, or a related field.
3–5 years of product management experience, including at least 1–2 years working with AI/ML-powered or data-intensive products.
Proven experience translating ambiguous business problems into products that were successfully launched and adopted.
Working knowledge of large language model applications, prompt engineering, Retrieval-Augmented Generation, AI agents, and automated workflows.
Understanding of model evaluation, output quality assessment, and AI product acceptance criteria.
Ability to define practical AI product requirements and evaluate technical trade-offs without directly developing the solution.
Experience defining, tracking, analyzing, and reporting product performance metrics.
Strong understanding of product adoption, funnel performance, output quality, and business impact measurement.
Proven experience coordinating cross-functional product delivery with engineering teams and business stakeholders.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain technical requirements and communicate business value.
Working knowledge of SQL or analytics tools for independently accessing and analyzing product data.
Strong prioritization, stakeholder management, analytical thinking, and decision-making skills.
Experience using AI tools such as Claude, applying prompt-design techniques, or working with agent frameworks is preferred.
Experience managing conversational AI or voice AI products is preferred.
Experience working with internal platforms, enterprise tools, or B2B products is preferred.
Demonstrated experience driving product adoption and organizational change is preferred.
A technical academic background, previous engineering experience, or the ability to collaborate closely with technical teams is preferred.
Familiarity with AI governance, responsible AI principles, data privacy requirements, and model-risk management is preferred.
Understanding of experimentation, A/B testing, and iterative product development is preferred.
