Job descriptionFull Time

Wanderlust App is looking for a Product Designer (UI/UX) to help shape the end-to-end experience of planning, living, and sharing a trip — from the AI-drafted itinerary, to the offline Trip Mode used on the ground, to the /explore feed where trips get discovered and cloned. You'll work closely with product and engineering to design flows that feel simple even when the underlying system (grounded AI planning, offline sync, real-time collaboration) is complex.

What you'll do

  • Design end-to-end user flows across web and mobile for core product surfaces, from itinerary creation to trip collaboration to discovery
  • Create wireframes, interactive prototypes, and high-fidelity UI for new features and improvements to existing ones
  • Partner with product managers and engineers to scope feasible, well-considered solutions and see them through to shipped quality
  • Maintain and evolve a consistent design system and component library across platforms
  • Run and synthesize user research, usability testing, and feedback loops to validate design decisions
  • Iterate on designs post-launch using qualitative feedback and product usage data

What we're looking for

  • A portfolio demonstrating strong UI craft and UX thinking across shipped consumer products
  • Experience designing for both web and mobile, including responsive and native patterns
  • Proficiency in modern design tools (e.g., Figma) including prototyping and component-based design systems
  • Ability to work from ambiguous problems to clear, well-reasoned design solutions
  • Comfort collaborating directly with engineers and product managers in a fast-moving environment
  • Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain and defend design decisions with rationale

Nice to have

  • Experience designing for travel, maps, or location-based products
  • Experience designing offline-first or low-connectivity product experiences
  • Familiarity with designing AI-assisted or conversational product flows
