Wanderlust App is a travel planning platform that builds day-by-day itineraries from real city and cost data, runs trips offline on the ground through Trip Mode, and lets travelers share and discover trips from other users. We're looking for a QA Engineer to help us ship a reliable product across web and mobile as we grow our planning, collaboration, and offline-trip features.
What you'll do
- Design, write, and execute manual and automated test cases across web and mobile app surfaces
- Test new features end-to-end before release, including edge cases around offline functionality and data syncing
- Identify, document, and track bugs through to resolution, working closely with engineers and product managers
- Build and maintain automated test suites to catch regressions as the product evolves
- Verify itinerary generation, collaboration/voting flows, and trip publishing behave correctly across scenarios
- Contribute to test plans for new releases and help define acceptance criteria alongside product and engineering
What we're looking for
- 2+ years of experience in software QA or test engineering, ideally on consumer web and mobile products
- Experience writing and maintaining automated tests (e.g., using frameworks such as Selenium, Cypress, Playwright, or Appium)
- Solid understanding of the software testing lifecycle, including test planning, execution, and defect tracking
- Comfortable testing across both iOS and Android mobile apps as well as web applications
- Strong attention to detail and ability to reproduce and clearly document bugs
- Familiarity with offline-first or data-sync-heavy applications is a plus given the nature of our product
Nice to have
- Experience with API testing tools (e.g., Postman)
- Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into build processes
- Background testing consumer travel, booking, or mapping products
