Job descriptionFull Time

Casework produces AI Act conformity files, Fundamental Rights Impact Assessments, and Article 9 risk documentation for AI hiring tools, helping mid-market companies meet requirements under the EU AI Act, Colorado AI Act, Illinois HB 3773, and NYC LL 144. We're looking for a Product Designer (UI/UX) to help shape how our clients and internal teams interact with the deliverables, tools, and workflows that make our productized engagements possible.

What you'll do

  • Design end-to-end user experiences for internal production tools and client-facing deliverables, from early concept through polished UI
  • Translate complex regulatory and documentation workflows into clear, usable interfaces
  • Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups to communicate design intent and gather feedback quickly
  • Collaborate closely with founders and engineers to scope feasible, high-impact design solutions within a fast-moving production cycle
  • Build and maintain a design system or component library to ensure consistency across products
  • Conduct lightweight user research and usability testing to validate design decisions with real client and internal feedback

What we're looking for

  • 3+ years of experience as a Product Designer or UI/UX Designer, ideally on a small team or in a fast-paced startup environment
  • A portfolio demonstrating strong visual design skills and clear, structured product thinking
  • Proficiency with modern design tools such as Figma
  • Ability to work independently, take ambiguous problems, and turn them into clear design solutions
  • Strong communication skills, able to explain design rationale to non-designers
  • Comfort designing for complex, information-dense workflows (e.g., compliance, legal, or enterprise software)

Nice to have

  • Experience designing for regulated industries, compliance tooling, or B2B SaaS
  • Familiarity with content-heavy or document-generation products
  • Basic understanding of front-end implementation constraints (HTML/CSS)
