Product Designer

DoubleTap Consulting is a senior-only software consultancy that builds custom websites, product platforms and internal software for streaming, SaaS and commerce teams — working directly with clients, with no account layer or junior bench between strategy and delivery. We're hiring a Senior Product Designer to lead design across client engagements, working alongside senior engineers to ship interface systems as working, production-ready code rather than static decks.

What you'll do

• Lead end-to-end product design on client engagements, from early discovery through shipped interfaces
• Design and maintain scalable design systems and component libraries used across web and native builds
• Translate business and user requirements into interaction models, prototypes and high-fidelity UI
• Partner directly with engineers to ensure designs are implemented faithfully and hold up in production
• Present design direction and rationale directly to client stakeholders, without an account layer in between
• Contribute to scoping conversations, helping estimate design effort and sequence work realistically

What we're looking for

• 6+ years of product design experience, including senior or lead-level ownership of design on shipped products
• A strong portfolio demonstrating interface design, systems thinking and design-to-code handoff
• Fluency with modern design tooling (e.g. Figma) and the ability to produce implementation-ready specs
• Experience designing for web platforms, and comfort adapting patterns across marketing sites, dashboards and internal tools
• Excellent client-facing communication skills, able to present and defend design decisions directly to stakeholders
• Comfort working in a fast-moving consultancy environment with multiple concurrent engagements

Nice to have

• Experience designing for streaming, SaaS or commerce products
• Familiarity with Next.js, React or React Native, enough to collaborate closely with engineering on implementation details
• Experience building or evolving a design system from scratch
