UX Designer

DoubleTap Consulting is a software consultancy that builds custom websites, product platforms and internal software for streaming, SaaS and commerce teams — working directly with clients as a senior-only team with no account layer and no junior bench. We're hiring a Senior UX Designer to lead design on client engagements, working alongside senior engineers to ship interface systems and product experiences as working software, not just decks.

What you'll do

• Lead UX design across web and product engagements, from early scoping through to shipped, working code
• Design interface systems, prototypes and design direction for platforms, dashboards and marketing sites
• Partner directly with engineers and clients as the sole design point of contact on an engagement — no handoffs, no middle layer
• Translate business and user requirements into flows, wireframes and high-fidelity UI
• Build and maintain design systems that hold up across multiple surfaces and components
• Present design decisions and rationale directly to client stakeholders

What we're looking for

• 6+ years of UX/product design experience, including senior or lead ownership of design on shipped products
• A strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end design work: research, flows, systems and final UI
• Proficiency with modern design tooling (e.g. Figma) and the ability to work closely with engineers implementing in code
• Experience designing for web platforms, SaaS products, or commerce/streaming experiences
• Comfort working directly with clients and stakeholders without a project-management layer in between
• Strong written and verbal communication for presenting and defending design decisions

Nice to have

• Experience building or maintaining component-based design systems
• Familiarity with Next.js/React front-end conventions, enough to collaborate closely with engineers
• Prior consulting or agency experience across varied client verticals
