Elite Hockey HQ unites performance training, skill work, and recovery insights into a single platform that helps hockey players train smarter across their whole season, with programs built alongside professional players. We're looking for a Product Analyst to help us understand how athletes use the platform, uncover opportunities to improve the training experience, and support data-driven decisions across the product team.
What you'll do
- Analyze user behavior across the training, readiness, and skill video modules to identify trends, drop-off points, and engagement opportunities
- Partner with product managers and designers to define, track, and report on key product metrics and success criteria for new features
- Build and maintain dashboards and reports that give the team clear visibility into athlete engagement, retention, and conversion
- Conduct ad hoc analyses to answer specific product questions, from feature adoption to subscription upgrade behavior
- Design and evaluate A/B tests and other experiments to validate product changes before wider rollout
- Translate data findings into clear, actionable recommendations for stakeholders across product, marketing, and leadership
What we're looking for
- 2+ years of experience in a product analytics, business analytics, or similar data-focused role
- Strong SQL skills and experience working with large datasets
- Experience with analytics or BI tools such as Amplitude, Mixpanel, Looker, or Tableau
- Comfort working with product and engineering teams to define metrics and instrumentation needs
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate data into a clear narrative for non-technical stakeholders
- Strong attention to detail and a structured approach to problem-solving
Nice to have
- Experience working on a subscription or freemium consumer product
- Familiarity with experimentation platforms and statistical testing methods
- Interest in sports, fitness, or athletic performance technology
- Experience with Python or R for deeper statistical analysis
