HireAIScore is looking for a Data Analyst to support our work as an independent scoring directory for AI hiring vendors. We evaluate hiring AI tools against a published rubric tied to the EU AI Act, NYC Local Law 144, the Colorado AI Act, and Illinois HB 3773. This role will help us maintain the accuracy, consistency, and traceability of the vendor scores and rankings we publish, working closely with the editorial and evaluation teams.
What you'll do
- Analyze vendor questionnaire responses, public evidence, and technical documentation to support rubric-based scoring
- Build and maintain dashboards and reports tracking vendor scores, grade distributions, and score movements over time
- Perform data quality checks to ensure scoring data is accurate, consistent, and properly versioned across rubric updates
- Identify trends across the vendor directory, such as category-level score patterns or common documentation gaps
- Support the editorial team by turning scoring data into clear summaries for published rankings and comparisons
- Help maintain data pipelines and structured datasets used to power the site's rankings, filters, and comparison tools
What we're looking for
- 2+ years of experience in a data analyst or similar analytical role
- Strong proficiency in SQL and spreadsheet-based analysis
- Experience with a BI or visualization tool (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Power BI)
- Comfort working with qualitative and semi-structured data, not just clean numeric datasets
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to verifying data accuracy
- Clear written communication skills for summarizing findings to non-technical stakeholders
Nice to have
- Familiarity with AI governance, employment law, or regulatory compliance topics
- Experience working with scoring rubrics, audits, or evaluation frameworks
- Basic scripting skills (Python or R) for data cleaning and analysis
