Job descriptionFull Time

HireAIScore is looking for a Product Designer (UI/UX) to help shape how people research and evaluate AI hiring vendors on our directory. We're an independent scoring site built on a published rubric tied to the EU AI Act, NYC Local Law 144, Colorado's AI Act, and Illinois HB 3773 — our audience relies on us to make dense, regulation-heavy information usable at a glance. You'll design the experience across rankings, vendor profiles, comparison tools, and our free self-serve tools, working closely with editorial and engineering to turn complex scoring data into clear, trustworthy interfaces.

What you'll do

  • Design end-to-end user flows for core product surfaces, including vendor rankings, profile pages, category browsing, and comparison views
  • Translate complex, data-heavy content (scores, rubrics, citations, evidence trails) into clear, scannable interfaces
  • Build and maintain a scalable design system/component library used across the product
  • Run lightweight user research and usability testing to validate design decisions
  • Partner with engineers to ensure designs are implemented accurately and perform well in production
  • Iterate on existing tools (like the high-risk AI quick-check and vendor profile request flow) based on user feedback and usage data

What we're looking for

  • 3+ years of experience as a Product Designer or UI/UX Designer, ideally on a data-rich or B2B product
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end design process: research, wireframes, high-fidelity UI, and shipped outcomes
  • Proficiency in Figma (or equivalent) and familiarity with building/maintaining design systems
  • Experience designing for information-dense content (tables, filters, comparisons, rankings) in a way that stays clear and usable
  • Strong communication skills and comfort presenting design rationale to non-design stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and collaborate closely with a small, cross-functional team

Nice to have

  • Experience designing for regulated, compliance, or trust-and-safety-adjacent products
  • Familiarity with accessibility standards (WCAG) and designing for diverse user needs
  • Prior experience at an early-stage or small company where design ownership spans the full product
