HireAIScore is looking for a Rubric & Methodology Analyst to help build, maintain, and apply the scoring rubric we use to rate AI hiring vendors against the EU AI Act, the Colorado AI Act, NYC Local Law 144, and Illinois HB 3773. This role sits at the center of our scoring process: you'll work directly with the published rubric, vendor evidence, and regulatory text to produce scores that are consistent, defensible, and fully auditable. This is a research and analysis role for someone who is comfortable reading primary-source regulation and translating it into concrete, testable scoring criteria.
What you'll do
- Score AI hiring vendors against the published rubric using public evidence, vendor questionnaires, and technical documentation
- Map rubric sub-criteria to specific articles and citations across the EU AI Act, NYC LL 144, Illinois HB 3773, and the Colorado AI Act
- Review vendor-submitted technical files (e.g., Annex IV-style documentation) and flag documentation gaps
- Propose and test revisions to the rubric as regulations evolve, and help manage versioning so prior scores remain reproducible
- Draft clear, evidence-based writeups of vendor strengths and gaps for publication
- Support re-scoring efforts when the rubric changes, ensuring diffs and rationale are documented
What we're looking for
- Experience reading and applying regulatory or compliance text to real-world evaluation criteria
- Strong analytical writing skills - you can explain a scoring decision clearly and defend it under scrutiny
- Comfort working with primary source documents: statutes, technical files, audit reports, DPIAs
- High attention to detail and consistency when applying a fixed rubric across many vendors
- Ability to work independently on evidence review with minimal ambiguity in the scoring process
Nice to have
- Background in AI governance, HR tech, employment law, or compliance/audit work
- Familiarity with the EU AI Act's Annex III/IV requirements or US algorithmic hiring laws
- Experience with bias audits or technical documentation review in a regulated industry
