Job descriptionReq hr-manager

Our team is developing a payment gateway for accepting funds from users on behalf of merchants, as well as sending funds from merchants to users. The system involves storing user payment data and is subject to PCI DSS compliance. It contains multiple integrations with payment systems, providers, and other gateways and processors, including 3DS.

We are seeking an experienced HR Manager to join our passionate team.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Act as the main HR point of contact for employees and managers, providing hands-on support across a wide range of people-related matters.

  • Build strong relationships across the company and maintain a good understanding of employee experience, team dynamics, and emerging people needs.

  • Partner with managers on performance, development, employee relations, organizational changes, and complex individual cases.

  • Own and continuously improve key HR processes across the employee lifecycle, from onboarding and probation to development, internal moves, and offboarding.

  • Review and adapt existing HR practices to better fit the company’s evolving needs, culture, and ways of working.

  • Identify gaps and proactively design and implement new HR practices, policies, and solutions where needed.

  • Use employee feedback and people data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.

  • Help build a scalable and effective People function that evolves together with the business.

  • Take ownership of HR processes, policies, and benefits currently provided at group level, assess their fit for company, and adapt, replace, or redesign them where needed as the company evolves.

  • Own and evolve employee benefits and related People programs, evaluating their effectiveness, employee value, cost, and fit with the company’s needs.

  • Balance employee needs with business priorities, applying sound judgment and ensuring People decisions are practical, consistent, and aligned with the company’s goals and culture.

  • Ensure HR practices and policies remain compliant with applicable employment requirements, working with internal or external legal and operational partners where necessary.

You’ll thrive here if you have

  • 5+ years of broad HR experience in a People Partner, HRBP, or Senior HR Generalist role, ideally within a technology, fintech, or other fast-paced environment.

  • Strong hands-on experience across the employee lifecycle and solid knowledge of core HR processes.

  • Proven experience independently owning and improving HR processes, not only supporting their execution.

  • Ability to assess existing practices, identify what needs to change, and drive improvements from idea through implementation.

  • Strong employee relations experience and confidence handling complex or sensitive individual cases.

  • Comfortable being a visible and approachable HR presence for employees while partnering effectively with senior managers.

  • Strong ownership, judgment, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

  • Comfortable working in an evolving environment where processes and ways of working are still being developed.

  • Experience building, transforming, or localizing HR practices would be a strong advantage.

  • Fluent English. Russian is a plus.

What applying to Mayflower usually looks like

Based on publicly available information, candidates applying through recruitee can generally expect a streamlined online application process, typically starting with submitting a resume and cover letter through a structured form. Recruitee-based systems commonly allow candidates to track their application status via an online portal or email updates. The process may include multiple stages, such as an initial screening, one or more interviews, and potentially a skills assessment or task relevant to the role. Communication style and pace can vary depending on the employer's internal practices, so response times vary and should not be assumed to follow a fixed schedule. Candidates are encouraged to ensure their application materials are tailored to the specific role, as listings across different departments—such as engineering, marketing, or operations—may have distinct evaluation criteria within the same overall platform.
