Migaru AI builds an AI-native CRM that reads a sales team's email, calendar and calls, files each conversation against the right account, and keeps deals, contacts and the forecast current without anyone typing it in. We're looking for a Design Engineer to help shape the product surfaces where people review and approve what Migaru has done for them — the review queue, the record itself, dashboards, and the chat-style interfaces customers use to ask questions of their own data.
This role sits between product design and front-end engineering: you'll move fluidly between designing an interaction and shipping the code that makes it real.
What you'll do
- Design and build high-quality, production-ready UI for core workflows like the review queue, account and deal records, dashboards, and conversational Q&A surfaces
- Prototype interactions quickly to test ideas before committing to a final design
- Work closely with product and engineering to turn rough concepts into shipped features, writing much of the front-end code yourself
- Establish and maintain a component system and design patterns that keep the product consistent as it grows
- Sweat the details of data-dense UI: tables, timelines, diffs, and approve/dismiss flows that need to feel fast and trustworthy
- Collaborate directly with customers and teammates to understand where the current design falls short and iterate on it
What we're looking for
- Several years of experience designing and building web application interfaces, ideally in a role that combined both design and front-end engineering
- Strong command of modern front-end development (React or similar) alongside solid visual and interaction design skills
- A portfolio or work history showing shipped, polished product UI, not just mockups
- Comfort working with data-heavy, workflow-driven products rather than purely marketing or content-focused design
- Good judgment about when to design from scratch and when to reuse or extend existing patterns
- Clear written communication, since much of the collaboration here happens asynchronously
Nice to have
- Experience designing for B2B SaaS or CRM-style products
- Familiarity with building or maintaining a design system / component library
- Experience designing interfaces for AI-assisted or agentic workflows
