Job descriptionReq 1401303933

We help the world run better
At SAP, we keep it simple: you bring your best to us, and we'll bring out the best in you. We're builders touching over 20 industries and 80% of global commerce, and we need your unique talents to help shape what's next. The work is challenging – but it matters. You'll find a place where you can be yourself, prioritize your wellbeing, and truly belong. What's in it for you? Constant learning, skill growth, great benefits, and a team that wants you to grow and succeed.

What you'll build

In this role, you'll design and develop competitive total rewards programs that shape how SAP attracts, motivates, and retains top talent globally. As part of the Total Rewards Center of Excellence, you'll build compensation frameworks, from structure design to implementation, that are both market-competitive and aligned to SAP's business strategy.

Your work will directly impact how employees experience SAP's value proposition, and how leaders make informed decisions about rewarding performance. You'll develop program models, conduct market analyses, and translate complex data into clear recommendations for senior business and People and Culture (P&C) leadership.

You'll collaborate across Total Reward pillars, regional teams, and business stakeholders to ensure programs are globally consistent yet locally relevant, solving for design gaps, scaling best practices, and advancing the maturity of SAP's total rewards philosophy.

What you bring

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field; advanced degree (MBA or Master’s in HR) preferred.
  • 6–8+ years of experience in Total Rewards, Compensation, or a related field, with a strong focus on compensation and rewards design in a global environment.
  • Strong understanding of executive and non-executive compensation, bonus plan design, equity programs, global compensation frameworks, compensation benchmarking, budgeting, and compliance.
  • Proven ability to lead enterprise-wide rewards initiatives from design through implementation, managing timelines, milestones, and multiple workstreams simultaneously.
  • Experience building strong partnerships with HR, Finance, Legal, and senior business leaders, with the ability to influence across levels and functions without direct authority.
  • Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken.

You are comfortable navigating complex, matrixed organizations and balancing diverse stakeholder needs while maintaining a strategic perspective. You bring a structured and proactive approach to problem-solving, a high degree of ownership, and the ability to turn ambiguity into clear, actionable outcomes. Experience gained in a Center of Excellence (CoE), consulting, or other global environments will help you succeed, as will a genuine curiosity for continuous improvement and evolving rewards practices.

Where you belong

You'll thrive on a collaborative, globally-minded team that values curiosity and rigor equally. This is a team that moves fast, thinks strategically, and is building the future of how SAP rewards its people.

What applying to SAP usually looks like

Based on publicly available information, candidates applying through successfactors typically begin by submitting an online profile and resume through SAP's careers portal, which commonly integrates with successfactors for application tracking and status updates. Applicants may receive automated confirmation emails and periodic status changes visible within the candidate portal. The process can generally include an initial recruiter screening, followed by hiring manager conversations and may include multiple stages such as technical or role-specific assessments depending on the position. Some roles may involve panel discussions or skills evaluations. Communication is often handled through the platform itself, though candidates may also be contacted by phone or email. Response times vary, and candidates are encouraged to monitor their application dashboard and email regularly. Preparing role-relevant examples and reviewing the job description closely is generally advisable.”
