HireAIScore operates an independent directory that scores AI hiring vendors against a published rubric tied to the EU AI Act, NYC Local Law 144, Colorado's AI Act, and Illinois HB 3773. We're hiring a Product Manager to help shape the tools and experience that make this scoring rigorous, transparent, and useful to both hiring teams and job seekers evaluating AI vendors.
As Product Manager, you'll own the roadmap for our directory, scoring tools, and public-facing features - working closely with editorial, engineering, and design to ship product that reflects our commitment to an open, evaluator-driven rubric.
What you'll do
- Define and prioritize the product roadmap for the vendor directory, comparison tools, and free assessment tools
- Translate editorial and research requirements (e.g. rubric versioning, vendor profile structure) into clear product specs
- Partner with engineering to ship features on a regular cadence, from discovery through launch and iteration
- Work with the editorial team to ensure product changes preserve methodology integrity - scoring history, rubric diffs, and disclosure requirements
- Define and track success metrics for key product surfaces (rankings, comparison tools, change alerts)
- Gather and synthesize feedback from users of the directory and free tools to inform prioritization
What we're looking for
- 3+ years of product management experience, ideally on a B2B or content/data-driven product
- Strong written communication skills - you can write clear specs and align cross-functional stakeholders
- Experience working with structured data, taxonomies, or rubric/scoring systems
- Comfort partnering closely with engineering and design in a fast-moving, small-team environment
- A demonstrated ability to balance user needs with editorial or compliance constraints
- Analytical mindset - comfortable defining metrics and using data to guide decisions
Nice to have
- Familiarity with AI governance, HR tech, or regulatory compliance domains
- Experience building or maintaining directory, marketplace, or comparison-style products
- Background working with editorial or research teams on structured content
